Tonight the Littles got a treat. They were allowed to stay up a little late and be introduced to the Sound of Music. They LOVED it.
Aside from the challenges of explaining nazis, world war, love triangles, and nunnery to a four year old, it was fun for me too. Fun to watch them light up at the songs and dance around the room with the Von Trap children. It was very nice.
Only why, oh why, of all the lovely songs in that film, does my daughter have to go to bed flitting about with batting lashes singing, "I am six-teen going on seven-teen!"
Maybe I should go back to the part about nunnery.
