Angel Party

I have a real birthday post coming soon, I promise!  But in the meantime I've been getting lots of gentle harassment to share about the little celebration we had for Little Miss's first trip around the sun.  As some of you know, Little Miss's other name means "heavenly" or "from heaven".  So I didn't have to look far for a party theme that was all about Her! And here it is.

All you need for a heavenly angel party

Lots of feathers, cottony clouds, white flowers, and little cherubs everywhere (3 year olds are great at decorating with feathers)...

A big table of all-white foods including angel hair pasta, angel food cake, wing-shaped sugar cookies with white frosting and gold sprinkles (again, 3 year olds are great decorators), and lots of heavenly confections...

An ethereal cake...
Fleets of tiny chocolate angels, for added sweetness...

Angelic white tutus with feathers and sparkles (thanks Nana!) and matching headbands (thanks Tia!)...

Some wings (painted, so no one flies away)...

i-tunes playlist of angel-y jams to shake your wing-feathers to...

Cardboard wings and pipecleaner halos for all the angelic little guests to make and decorate...

Birthday blessings- to donate to the local shelter...

family, friends, a beautiful day...

And, oh yes, to make it all complete:
A real Angel

It may have been the loads of sugar, the champagne, the perfect sunshine, the wonderful company, the way Little One was so proud of Her sister and Little Miss basked in the attention.  Or just gratitude for having had a whole year with this amazing little person.
Whatever it was, it sure felt like heaven on earth to me.
