After we left our little house, our first stop was J’s aunt’s place in Southern Maryland. We had planned a sleepover there with two of the little cousins, which Little One was looking forward to. When we got there I thought, sheesh. The neighbors must be having a big party or something. There are cars lining the street!
I was half right. There was a party, but it was for us! The entire extended family from the Southern Maryland faction was there to send us off. There were three kinds of cake. It was awesome. We had a blast and after it was over, all the littlest cousins stayed for the sleepover; seven littles in pajamas running amok.
They had a blast, and all stayed up past bedtime watching Nemo and munching popcorn from little bowls. Little One is still talking about it. It was a great way to start our big trip.

Because you don’t think we’d just hop on a plane and get where we’re going, do you? NO!
We had two cars to take with us, so we drove. We had two dogs and two kids to take with us, so we knew there would be a lot of stops. So we decided to make a trip of it.
A CAMPING trip.
